Longer (and more personal) version
I’ve always been a keen observer of both nature and the curiosities of human behavior. And looking deeply at the small details of life has shaped my viewpoint, both as a person and as an artist.
My personal aesthetic has also been influenced by the places I've lived. First, having grown up in the optimistic sunshine of Southern California. Second, having lived for many years in the sophisticated complexity of New York City. Currently, I reside in the majestic and expansive landscape of Northwest Montana. Braided together, these places underpin my experience and perspective, creating the lens from which I view the world.
Although I earned my BFA in Textile/Surface Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, I am an eternal student. I have continued my education, studying a diverse range of the visual arts, throughout my lifetime.
Experimentation is a key component in my current work. I am passionate about exploring materials in order to arrive at new outcomes.
Bringing all this together, my work reflects and amplifies the magical orchestration of our natural world, echoing a sense of wonder.
Just as nature evolves, my artistic journey unfolds, and I’m eager to follow the creative thread and discover where it leads next.
